Gregg A. Bennett
Principal owner · Accredited ACH Professional
A banker who stayed close to the operations, then opened the door for the rest of the industry.
Mr. Bennett has played a key role in the development of many banking innovations. Most recently he was central to the design, development, installation, management, and promotion of several major internet banking systems.
He has been a member of senior management at financial institutions for more than twenty years, with a focus on operations, technology, and accounting. He is an expert in cash management and ACH services, and holds the AAP — Accredited ACH Professional — designation from NACHA. Regulations and compliance for operations and technology are a second, equally serious, specialization.
Prior to the internet-banking chapter, Mr. Bennett served as Senior Vice President for various banks beginning in 1976. His trademark has been recommending and installing in-house data processing systems, and implementing some of the first voice response, bill payment, check imaging, and internet banking systems in Texas. He has served on technology committees across the banking community, taught banking courses, and consults on technology for the Independent Bankers Association of Texas. BBA, University of Texas at Austin, 1975.

Built in the rooms where Texas banks first went online.
Pivotal was formed to improve and review back-office operations and evaluate technology for financial institutions — the same work Gregg had already been doing inside the banks.
